Financial Aid  

April 4- 5:00pm-5:55pm

This workshop will center around the UCSB Financial Aid office. Key information about financial aid, FAFSA, DREAM application will be included in this presentation. UCSB Financial Aid will touch on important topics such as loans, Cal Grant, and Pell Grant. There will also be a financial Aid presenter in attendane to answer all your questions.

Majors and A-G Requirements

April 6- 4:00pm-5:00pm

For this presentation the career center will be providing vital information regarding the majors offered here at UCSB. In order for students to be more aware of the major requirements we will have breakout rooms, based on their career/area choice, and each group will be able to look at UCSB major sheets for their corresponding major choice. In turn students can be familiarized with the type of classes they should be prepared to take.

Transfer Admissions Guarantee: this workshop will focus on transfer admissions and its requirements. The workshop will cover areas surrounding ASSIST, TAG 2022 Requirements,

Mental Health and Self Care

April 6- 6:05pm-7:00pm

UCSB Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will be collaborating with us to provide students with a presentation regarding the mental services offered by them. We can expect to hear about how to reduce/manage stress, problem solve, and problem solving. Self care TBA

This workshop will center around the services provided by a USS member. They will provide information about the student community, legal services, scholarships, and their resource team. Presenter: TBD

Cooking on a Budget: Food Security

April 9- 9:00am- 10:30am

This workshop will feature a presentation from UCSB Thrive (Basic Needs Center) that will discuss the different food, housing, financial, and technology security resources available to students. Afterwards, there will be a cooking on a budget presentation where they will showcase an easy budget friendly meal
